The study is trying to review Chung Chi-Hua's creativity development from the historical point of view. Chang Chi Hua was bom in 1910 in Chienchen, Kaohsiung. He graduated from the Japanese Academy of Art in Tokyo. After the retrocession of Taiwan, he established the Kaohsiung Fine Arts Research Association with his best friend Liu Chi-hsiang, and other friends Liu Ching-jung, Cheng Huo-yi, Liu Chin-lin, Lin Tien-jui, and Sung Shin-hsiung. In the next year, he established the Southern Fine Arts Association with Tainan Fine Arts Research Association, the Chun Chen Association and Chun Meng Association of Chiayi. He played an important role in the development of fine art in southern Taiwan at that time. The author wishes that through the study of the relation between the artists and historical events, this essay will provide more information on the development of fine art in southern Taiwan.
